In the event of a baggage incident, passengers should make their way to the arrivals desk and fill in a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) before leaving the airport.

Our Iberia Baggage Call Centre will inform you with regard to the legal compensation, timing and corresponding requirements concerning damaged baggage.

In the event of delayed or lost baggage, an immediate search process will be activated via our World Tracer computer system developed by SITA and vouchsafed by IATA which permits us to locate missing baggage and get it back to its owner, most within the first 24 hours. The Iberia quality indices of this service are amongst the highest in the aeronautical industry.

Please make sure you keep your travel documents and any invoices related to your baggage incident.

We would remind you that your baggage items should be correctly labelled with your personal details. We recommend passengers to also place a label in the interior of their baggage. We also recommend passengers to insure their baggage should they consider this convenient.

We would remind passengers that in accordance with the Iberia General Carriage Conditions included on the airline ticket, passengers should not pack fragile, perishable or valuable items since according to international regulations these types of articles are not covered in the case of damage or loss.

The Iberia telephone no. in Spain is 901 111 342. For calls from outside of Spain, passengers should call their local Iberia office or consult the Iberia website:
