VALENCIA, MAY 27, 2025

Air Nostrum has reinforced its commitment to transparency, good practices, and business ethics by becoming the first airline to obtain both Criminal Compliance (UNE 19601) and Tax Compliance (UNE 19602) certifications from AENOR, a leading entity in building trust. Furthermore, Spain's largest regional airline, headquartered in Valencia, has become the first company in the Valencian Community to achieve this feat, a milestone that underscores the company's good work. In this way, the airline reaffirms its commitment to responsible and ethical business management, offering an additional guarantee of trust and security, and consolidating its position as a leader in the regional aviation sector.

These achievements highlight Air Nostrum's firm commitment to a crime prevention policy that includes adequate monitoring and control to mitigate risks and the integration of fiscal policy with the Sustainable Development Goals and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria. Air Nostrum implements various initiatives to ensure that all its activities are carried out in line with ethical and good governance principles, maintaining an environment of integrity that extends to all levels of the organization. This comprehensive approach to ethics and compliance underscores the company's determination to maintain the highest standards of transparency and accountability.

The Criminal Compliance certification, in accordance with the requirements set forth in the UNE 19601 standard, is aimed at reducing the organization's exposure to criminal risk and fostering a culture of crime prevention. This implies the company's firm commitment to establishing robust control and oversight mechanisms that minimize potential criminal contingencies. With this compliance model, Air Nostrum increases its responsibility regarding good governance, promoting a culture of integrity that reaches all levels of the organization and ensures that its operations are conducted in accordance with demanding criteria of responsibility and corporate rigor.

Furthermore, the Tax Compliance certification, in accordance with the UNE 19602 Standard, is a recognition that supports the solidity of its tax management model. This system acts as a guarantee to the Tax Administration or judicial bodies of its firm determination to comply with current regulations. Furthermore, this distinction reflects Air Nostrum's ongoing efforts to strengthen responsible and sustainable business practices aligned with the highest standards of tax transparency, becoming a key element of its corporate governance strategy.

Salvador Ibáñez Moscardó, AENOR's regional director for the Balearic Islands, the Valencian Community, and Murcia, stated that "thanks to this dual AENOR certification, Air Nostrum consolidates its leadership as a benchmark for good business practices in the aviation sector, strengthening its commitment to rigorous risk management aligned with the strictest standards for compliance in criminal and tax risks, which also sends a message of utmost confidence to all its stakeholders."

Carlos Bertomeu, President of Air Nostrum, expressed his satisfaction with this dual recognition for the organization: "For Air Nostrum, certifying our criminal and tax compliance management systems is a reflection of our commitment to ethics and compliance in all our operations. Being the first airline in Spain to achieve UNE 19601 and UNE 19602 certifications reinforces our commitment to providing a solid, secure, and transparent governance environment for our employees, stakeholders, and the communities we serve."
