The airline launches new routes between Almería and Santander, and Melilla and Valencia, and increases summer connectivity with more than twenty connections.

The Balearic Islands account for a significant portion of the growth with new routes from Mallorca and Ibiza and increased service to the mainland and France.

Melilla expands its network of destinations with Valencia and maintains summer connections to Oviedo, Santiago, and Tenerife North.

Air Nostrum, Iberia's regional franchise airline, is reinforcing its schedule during this summer's peak season with a wide range of special routes between July 17 and the end of August. The airline will increase frequencies, launch new connections, and strengthen services in the Balearic Islands, Melilla, the Canary Islands, the Iberian Peninsula, and several international destinations to facilitate travel during the weeks of highest tourist demand.

The special summer program includes more than twenty routes with increased capacity and several notable new features. Among the highlights are the new connections between Almería and Santander, and Melilla and Valencia, which are being added to the airline's summer schedule.

With this special summer program, Air Nostrum is once again committed to strengthening connectivity to Spanish tourist destinations, facilitating holiday travel and expanding travel options for both residents and visitors during the peak season.

The Balearic Islands, a summer highlight

The Balearic Islands once again feature prominently in Air Nostrum's summer schedule. Mallorca launched new connections this summer with Girona, starting July 4th with up to two weekly flights, and with Logroño, which will begin on July 21st, also with two weekly flights.

In addition, Palma Airport is reinforcing its connectivity with the Spanish mainland through routes to Vigo, which will operate five weekly flights starting July 18th, and to Valladolid, with four weekly flights starting July 17th.

Ibiza is seeing significant international service enhancements. The connection to Nice will operate daily from July 17th and will have two flights on Saturdays, while the route to Geneva will return to the summer schedule from July 18th with one flight per week on Saturdays.

The Pitiusa Islands are also expanding their domestic connectivity with the resumption of the route to Lleida, which will begin operating on July 24th with two weekly flights.

Meanwhile, Menorca is also regaining its connection to Lleida from July 24th, thus consolidating the offering of direct links between the Balearic Islands and Catalonia, especially Mallorca with direct flights to Reus, Lleida, Andorra-La Seu, and Girona.

More connections for Melilla

Melilla is once again one of the strategic points in Air Nostrum's summer schedule. This summer, in addition to its eight regular connections, the Autonomous City of Melilla will offer direct routes to Oviedo, Santiago de Compostela, Tenerife North, and, as a major new addition, Valencia.

The new connection between Melilla and Valencia will begin operating on Tuesday, July 21, with two weekly flights, significantly improving connectivity between the two cities.

Flights to Oviedo will start on August 4 with one weekly flight; those to Santiago de Compostela will begin on July 25; and the route to Tenerife North will launch on July 23, also with one weekly flight.

These summer routes are complemented by scheduled reinforcements on established connections such as Barcelona-Melilla, Gran Canaria-Melilla, and Melilla-Mallorca, which will increase capacity to meet the high holiday demand.

The Canary Islands improve connectivity with the mainland.

Connections between the Canary Islands and the mainland also experience significant growth during the summer months. The route between León and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will begin operating on July 17 with two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Fridays, while the connection between León and Tenerife North will begin on July 22 with one weekly flight on Wednesdays.

These routes improve direct travel options between Castile and León and the Canary Islands during the holiday season.

Increased Service on Mainland Routes

The domestic network features several connections geared towards both holiday travelers and tourists.
Among them is the reinstatement of the route between Málaga and León, which will begin on July 22 and offer up to three weekly flights. The new connection between Almería and Santander will also launch, operating from July 18 with two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Santander also improves its connectivity with Vigo and Jerez, both with two weekly flights starting July 18 on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The schedule also includes significant capacity increases on existing routes such as Alicante-Ibiza, Ibiza-Valencia, Mahón-Valencia, and Palma-Valencia, which see an increase in capacity during peak season.

International Growth

Internationally, the growth in activity from Málaga and the Balearic Islands is particularly noteworthy.
The connection between Málaga and Nice will become daily from July 17th until the end of August. The route between Málaga and Tangier will also begin operating, with up to three weekly flights from July 18th.
From France, Nice Airport will increase its connectivity with the Balearic Islands through daily flights to Palma de Mallorca and the aforementioned enhanced service to Ibiza.
