VALENCIA, OCTOBER 8, 2024
Air Nostrum, Iberia's franchised airline for regional flights, is going to give a significant boost to the historic route between Bilbao and Santiago de Compostela. Marking its 27th anniversary, the company will increase the number of seats available on the connection between the two cities by up to 51%. This route is one of the company's oldest.
The connection between Bilbao and Santiago continues to grow, and this coming winter season (October 27 to March 29) will do so spectacularly. Up to 51% more seats will be scheduled compared to 2023, with an ideal schedule in both directions, with up to 21 weekly frequencies. These new schedules meet the demand for both business and leisure passengers, with a significant portion of the offering focused on maximizing weekend travel.
Thus, on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, the route will have up to four flights in each direction. For passengers, the connection between the two cities will be guaranteed and very comprehensive, with one flight in each direction every three hours.
Additionally, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays, the route will have three flights in each direction. Saturdays are the only day on which flights are not scheduled.
This considerable increase in seats and frequencies meets the demand for one of the most important routes in Air Nostrum's history. A connection that celebrates its 27th anniversary this year. Since this route began operating in 1997, more than one million people have flown with Air Nostrum between these two cities. The milestone was reached this year, 2024.
