VALENCIA, OCTOBER 21, 2026

Air Nostrum, the Iberia franchise partner for regional flights, begins a new phase for the Pamplona–Barcelona route this Sunday, October 25. This long-standing connection for the airline will enhance travel options for passengers from Navarre, specifically by expanding their onward connection possibilities via Barcelona Airport.

Supported by the Chartered Community of Navarre through a promotional agreement, the route will operate three times a week—Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—using 100-seat CRJ1000 jet aircraft. Flights will depart from Barcelona at 9:15 a.m. and land in Noáin at 10:15 a.m. The return leg will depart from Pamplona at 10:45 a.m. and arrive in Barcelona at 11:50 a.m. Tickets are available for purchase at www.iberia.com and through travel agencies.

Connectivity is a key benefit of this route. Through Barcelona, passengers from Navarre will have access to 16 domestic and 34 international destinations, thanks to a codeshare agreement with Vueling, as well as additional options provided by the Oneworld alliance network.

Early booking data already highlights this utility: 17% of passengers with reservations for the coming months will continue their journey from Barcelona to other destinations. Cities such as Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, Doha, Santiago de Chile, and London are currently attracting the most interest. Meanwhile, 13% of ticket sales for this new route have originated outside of Spain, with the United States, Great Britain, and Germany being the top three source countries.

Air Nostrum expects this connecting traffic component to grow as the service matures and travelers increasingly view Barcelona as a viable hub. The airline anticipates an average load factor of around 50% during the route’s first month of operation.

The available flight options allow passengers to travel via Barcelona to domestic destinations—such as Alicante, Almería, Asturias, Gran Canaria, Granada, Ibiza, Málaga, Menorca, Palma de Mallorca, Santiago de Compostela, Seville, and Tenerife North—as well as international destinations, including Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Doha, Istanbul, London, Miami, Paris, Rome, and Venice, among others.

A historic connection for Navarre

The launch of this service also marks the return of a route with a long history. Air Nostrum operated the Pamplona–Barcelona connection between 1997 and 2012, and again from 2022 to 2023.

With flights beginning this Sunday, Pamplona once again has a regular, direct connection to Barcelona three days a week—serving both those traveling between the two cities and those using El Prat airport as a gateway to an extensive network of domestic and international destinations.
