05  FEB  2025

Melilla has never had so many connections with other Spanish airports.

The big news for summer 2025 is the new flights to Asturias and Tenerife during the peak season.

During Easter, the route to Santiago de Compostela, which was so well received last summer, will be operated and will also be repeated during the peak summer season.

VALENCIA, FEBRUARY 5, 2025

Air Nostrum, Iberia's franchised airline for regional flights, will connect Melilla with eleven other cities in Spain this coming summer. The two big news for the 2025 season will be the flights to Asturias and Tenerife, which will debut during the peak summer season, part of the increasingly extensive service offered by the Autonomous City.

This is the first time that Melilla has eleven connections with other airports in Spain. In 2025, Air Nostrum will reach its all-time high for both Melilla residents and the ability to showcase Melilla's charms to other Spanish citizens, promoting tourism in the city.

With Tenerife, there will be a weekly flight for six weeks during the peak summer season, between July 18 and August 31. Melilla will thus be connected to the Canary Islands with two weekly flights, as this new service from Tenerife North joins the flight to Las Palmas, which already operates year-round and will obviously continue this coming summer. Flights to Tenerife start at €36 one-way for residents and €122 for non-residents.

With Asturias, there will be a weekly flight for four weeks next August. Flights to Asturias start at €26 one-way for residents and €86 for non-residents. This new flight joins Air Nostrum's other service connecting Melilla with northwestern Spain. This coming Easter, there will be two round-trip flights to Santiago de Compostela, on April 12 and 19. This route is not new, as it was operated last summer with very successful occupancy. The connection to Santiago will be repeated during the summer peak of 2025 with a weekly frequency during the six weeks of high season.

During the summer peak, the connection with Mallorca will also be strengthened. Operations with the Balearic island will increase from five frequencies in the summer of 2024 to six from July 18 to August 31. Outside of this peak, the Balearic Islands will maintain a weekly frequency throughout the season on a route that has already become established.

Also during the summer season, connections with Barcelona, Malaga, and Madrid will be increased. Connections with Barcelona will increase from two to three weekly frequencies. With Malaga, there will be up to five more weekly connections compared to the summer of 2024. And finally, Melilla will have two more weekly connections with Madrid this coming summer season, which begins on March 29.
